China Intellectual Property - Beyond WTO & TRIPs Print
Brown Bag Seminar, Speaker: Mr. Elliot Papageorgiou - Executive, Rouse & Co. International, Shanghai, Guangzhou in Beijing
28 May 2008, 12.15 - 13.45 WTI Berne, Switzerland

Full title: China Intellectual Property - Beyond WTO & TRIPs. Practical Strategies for Effective Enforcement of Intellectual Property Rights in China.

Much was made about China’s accession to the WTO and its implementation of the intellectual property provisions TRIPs. However as with many other legislative tools, the proof is often in how the well-intentioned international obligations are implemented on a national, (and in China’s case) provincial, and even local level. This seminar will provide a “snapshot” of how intellectual property rights are effectively protected and best enforced in China.
